What is Keto?

Keto is short for the Ketogenic diet. The Ketogenic diet focuses on eating a large percentage (60-70%) of fats, a moderate percentage (25-30%) of protein, and a low percentage (5-10%) of carbohydrates. This dietary shift helps the body reach nutritional ketosis, allowing the body to break down fat and create ketones as a source of fuel. When your body is functioning in a state of ketosis, a number of health benefits can occur including fat loss, higher energy levels, and increased mental clarity and focus.
